From a bench sketch to the home you'll live in for life.
Lux Interior is a Sydney studio for whole-home renovation and bespoke joinery — designed in-house, built in our own cabinetry workshop, installed by people who'll answer your message at nine on a Sunday.
We started Lux because most renovations feel like they're built for someone else — by a call centre, in a batch, around margins instead of materials. We wanted the opposite: small projects, real wood, real conversations. A team you can walk in and meet. A workshop you can visit. A line item you can question. We've kept it that way ever since.
Warm white over pure white
Soft cream and natural tones read as expensive in real-world light — gallery-cold white only looks right under studio lamps. Almost every kitchen we build sits somewhere on the warm side of neutral.
Detail lives at 45°
Where two surfaces meet, the line should disappear. Mitred returns and hairline reveals — small carpentry decisions that make a finished kitchen feel resolved instead of assembled.
Skeleton-line frames
Slim vertical reveals that give a wall of cabinetry rhythm without ornament. Quieter than shaker, more architectural than handleless. A Lux signature.
Pocket doors & quiet contrast
Hidden hardware, two-tone joinery, walnut against bone — kitchens that breathe instead of shouting. Contrast as a finishing tool, not a statement.
Every door, drawer, and fitted carcass leaves the same Greenacre floor. We work with locally-sourced Australian panels, machined and assembled in-house, then delivered and installed by our own crew. Stone is coordinated with our stoneworkers and templated on-site once cabinetry is in — installed cleanly on the day.
A small studio — three designers, two cabinet-makers, one install crew. Photos and bios coming soon. In the meantime, see the team in our daily workshop posts on Rednote.
